Virtual
City Poker Review
Virtual
City Poker is a cool place to visit. Being part
of the Prima Poker network, you get to take part in
the big tournaments, like WSOP and WPT etc. as well
as trying your luck at various of their inhouse tournaments
with guaranteed prize pools.
Basically,
like most other Poker Rooms that are part of this
network, there is not much that you can do wrong.
Alone through the sheer size of the member base, you
are almost always guaranteed a place at a table and
game that you like and at the betting budget that
suits you. Naturally, you can bet from small change
up to no limits, so - chosing your budget and table
does play a big role in how much fun you have at any
given room.
There
is not much else that I can say about this room other
than the fact that you can sign up, deposit, play
and have a ton of fun, without worrying about the
sincerity of this group. The are really top notch
and you will be looked after as one of their own.

Bad
Beat
Four of a Kind or better, is beaten. The loser of
the hand receives 50% of the progressive bad beat
jackpot, the winner gets 25%, and the remaining 25%
is split among the other players in the hand. You
can't lose!
Magic
Hand
Each hand dealt at Prima Poker is assigned a number.
From time to time Prima Poker management picks a hand
number at random in advance and declares it a Magic
Hand and establishes what the prizes will be. When
that magic hand is dealt, the winner of the hand wins
the main prize and all other players in the game each
get a second bonus amount. (If you sit out you don’t
qualify!)

Betting
Limits
Fixed
Limit games, called Fixed in the "Limit"
column, are ones where the betting limits are structured
by round. This is shown in the "Stakes"
column, for example $10/$20 indicates that the initial
bets and raises are $10, and the later bets and raises
are $20. The minimum buy in for Fixed Limit games
is ten times the minimum bet.
Pot
Limit games, called PL in the "Limit"
column. The maximum amount players can raise or bet
is equal to the size of the pot. The size of the pot
is the center pot, all bets on the table and the amount
the player must call for the current bet. These calculations
are handled by the software. The buy in for Pot Limit
games is twenty times the minimum bet.
No
Limit games, called NL in the "Limit"
column, like Pot Limit games have no structure to
the betting. Unlike Pot Limit games there is no limit
on the maximum bet. As the name implies, No Limit
games have no maximum limit on the amount you can
bet or raise, though minimum raise is the amount of
the previous bet or raise. The buy in for No Limit
games is twenty times the minimum initial bet.
