Superior
Poker Review
Superior
Poker is a quality Poker room which will have
you addicted in no time. I say this because I talk
from experience. I have played at many different poker
rooms already, but it has always been relatively easy
to swap to another room from time to time. Here, I
was actually hooked. Don't ask me why - it just seemed
like if I left, I would miss out on something. Well,
actually you will in a way. You will miss out on collecting
Player Option Points (POP). These can be redeemed
for prizes and are also used for registration value
at various tournaments. Naturally, you do not really
need these, but it does make playing in tournaments
a lot more fun, especially when you get to the 2nd
level and upwards. Have a look at their tournament
page for more information about this.. It is way to
much to expound on it here in this tiny review section.
They
advertise with the phrase "We're serious about
poker" and I can only but agree - they really
are a professional group which take their job very
seriously.

Tournaments
Tournaments at SuperiorPoker.com, as a general
rule, are made up of the same structures as seen at
other online poker rooms. There are a number of different
tournament options to appeal to all tastes.
Satellite
Tournaments
Satellites are tournaments, usually multi-stage,
where the winner wins an entry into a larger prize
tournament. For example, SuperiorPoker.com hosts multi-stage
tournaments where the winner will win an expense paid
trip to play in an offline World Poker Tour tournament.
Freerolls
Freeroll tournaments are tournaments that
are FREE to enter on a first-come, first-served basis.
There is no buy-in or entry fee to play, and there
is usually a small cash prize for the winner. Freerolls
are also available where the winner will win an entry
to one of our larger cash prize multi-stage tournaments.
Freerolls
can be a great way to turn a $0 investment into a
$ million cash prize!
Single-table
Tournaments
Single-table tournament are just what they
sound like. The tournament involves one table of players
and ends with a cash prize for the last player standing
(or last 2-3 in some cases).
Multi-stage
tournaments
Just like the name suggests, these tournaments
start with many tables where the winners of each combine
to play at the next level. After a determined amount
of stages, the final players combine on a championship
table, where the top player(s) win a cash prize or
entry into a larger tournament.
Sit
'n Go
Sit 'n Go is a term used to describe a tournament
that begins the moment all seats at a table are filled,
instead of following a preset schedule. All single-table
and freeroll tournaments at SuperiorPoker.com are
Sit 'n Go tournaments. Additionally, the first stages
of most multi-table tournaments begin as Sit 'n Go.

Games
Texas Hold'em
Also known simply as Holdem, this variation of 7-Card Stud, is becoming
the most popular poker game in the world. No Limit and Pot Limit Hold'em are also
available at SuperiorPoker.com.
Omaha & Omaha Hi/Lo
Omaha is very similar to to Hold'em, but has a greater chance of making bigger
hands and provides for some extremely exciting games.
7 Card Stud & 7 Hi/Lo
For years the most popular poker game anywhere. In private homes, it is still
the "King" of all poker games.
Guts Poker
In Guts Poker, players ante and are dealt 3 cards. Each then has two options:
stay in or fold. Of those who stay in, the winning poker hand takes the pot. All
losing hands must match the pot as their next ante.
In the Survivor Variation of Guts Poker, it is only the lowest losing hand that
must match the final pot as his/her next ante.
Chinese Poker
Ever wished you could play multiple hands at the same table? With Chinese Poker,
you will. Create three simultaneous hands, do battle with your opponents, and
you can walk away with big winnings.
Big 2 Poker
Deuces are never wild at SuperiorPoker.com, but on the Big 2 Poker tables they're
high. In this Asian game whose popularity is spreading like wildfire, the object
is to lose cards (and gain chips) as quickly as possible.
Pan
Pan, or Panguingue, is especially popular in California and South Florida, and
now, through the magic of the internet, around the world.
Black Jack
The objective of this popular table game is to accumulate cards that add up closer
to 21 than that of the dealer's cards, without going over 21. |
